I admire Carl Sagan, he was a gift to humanity. Yet I don't think he was right about our death. I think that our consciousness can not be born therefore our consciousness can not die. The human mind through natural awareness has an insight into this "consciousness" and that makes it "consciousness" eternal.

AWARENESS OF BEING AWARE!

 Some thought's about being aware:

I hope this finds you well. I sent you this book because I think it touches on what our talks point too. The ultimate truth is that we are already what it is we seek. Quite simply we are not aware of that seemingly illusive truth. 

I think that being aware is our natural state. The minds default setting if you will. We can say that “I am going to be aware only to find that we are already aware. Thought churns away, seemingly blocking awareness. We see that and say to ourselves I must stop this onslaught of thought. It is awareness that brings this about. 

To try and narrow this down, realize that awareness is the state of being aware of awareness itself. When the mind sees this we are taking that step away from knowledge toward a deep insight. 

Sometimes what resonates in another mind does not resonate with our mind. I hope that this will not be the case with you and “being aware of awareness.

Thank you for this informative look at the War with Iran. Trump doesn't know what he is doing - period. We can expect nothing but loss from this ridiculous military fiasco. Trump just wants to stay out of prison, he has no clue about the world's political situation. We have elected a buffoon and what ever he does will just cost us more money and lives. If the Republican party honored their oaths of office Trump would be impeached, indicted and imprisoned. We too are fools for letting him continue on with this side show. 

The Country is being destroyed on every level, people are suffering and dying at his hand. Trump is a disease that needs to be eradicated. The US is no longer admired and while we let Trump rule, China is overtaking the US in many fields. The rest of the world is turning away from the US building strong relationships with other nations. Trump the fool cannot see the negative outcome of his actions. He is truly sick, hateful and evil. Impeach Trump now.

 Democracy never selects the best leader it always selects the best liar. and that is why every democracy eventually fails. Democracy does not reward wisdom it rewards persuasion. The man who understands reality loses to the man who can manipulate perception. The honest lose to the charming, the disciplined lose to the theatrical. Plato said the heaviest penalty for declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior, that is not moral advice it is a law of power. When competence withdraws, manipulation advances when truth is costly lies become efficient. And when popularity determines authority, deception becomes strategy. Democracy does not collapse from the outside it hollows itself out from within and when the lies finally shake the system the ending is predictable. The people don't resist tyranny they beg for it. 

It seems that what Plato said is coming true for our country. Trump and his administration is killing people and destroying what is good about our country. Both major parties have led us here. I am not sure what it will take to restore and refine our system. I am afraid it will come to violence from the people or perhaps a major protest that shuts the country down will be enough. Something has to be done.

TRUMP AND 2025 MUST BE STOPPED!

When was the last time you heard Trump say, America, we must unite.  If you hear that, it will most likely be the first time he says it. If you haven't figured it out yet, I will let you in on why Trump doesn't say America unite. Trump relies on keeping the people divided, without this division he is without a modi operandi. Trump has caused the deaths of many people overseas by shutting down programs that kept people from starving. Trump has his minions killing US citizens. He has also removed the guarantee of "due process".  All citizens including you have lost this fundamental right. 

Trumps popularity is running at about 36%, this is the lowest of post WW11, presidents, he was beaten by himself in his first term where he dipped to a 29% approval rating. Frankly I do not understand how he achieved 29%. Who would support someone that is killing citizens?

Trump is destroying the credibility of the US on a global scale, he has alienated our closest allies  and aligned our Country with the Russian oligarch Vladimir Putin. Trump stole five hundred millions dollars worth of Venezuelan oil and put the money in a foreign bank. This is just one example of his ignoring of the emoluments clause. He is also destroying our countries research in many fields where we used to lead. Why does he do this? He simply does not care, he has no interest in anything that does not affect or concern him. He is by far (save Hitler) the worst leader in human history. 

Trump says he is waging war against the drug cartels while pardoning some of the worst drug dealers in our recent history. 

All of the promises Trump made during his campaign have not come to fruition, in fact things have gotten much worse. He has the unmitigated gaul to claim prices are not going up as they go through the roof. Trump has raised the bar in sinking to unprecedented new lows. What is truly amazing is the fact that he has gotten away with it all. I have hopes that he will be brought to justice before he dies. However he has plans to steal the upcoming midterm elections and if successful he may, escape justice. 

The Trump government has the government serving the wealthy instead of a government that serves the majority of the people. The people that are well taken care are the people the government is serving. Project 2025 is helping to make this possible. 

While Trump sews the seeds of division it could not be more important for Americans (US Citizen) to unite.

You are to be admired for your continuous effort. What will it really take to get our Country back? What does history tell us? With the Trump administration killing people and with its effort toward martial law, it seems that it will spiral into violence. Perhaps if there was an organizer that united all the people, drew up a list of demands and then with millions upon millions of supporters shut the Country down until the demands were met, then change might come about. Then there is the possibility that the military would attack those millions and just slaughter them, and Trump or his replacement would remain in power, with the Country lost. I think the US citizens would fight back with their weapons but it would be a losing battle given the well armed military. Then again, would all of the military choose the Trump side. We are in perilous times, the future is uncertain.

SIG SAUER AND THE P320 Amended 2/2/2026 Response + to Sigs' response added. 4/7

Sig is a New Hampshire based company that manufactures firearms and supportive equipment. One of their handguns, the P320 has been shown to discharge without the trigger being pulled.

Wouldn't it be logical to ask, what is different about the P320 compared to, say the 365 which does not discharge on its own? How can Sig not know the answer to that question? This appears to be ignorant negligence. Sig chose to have all P320 owners wondering if their gun is defective, therefore dangerous. I own a P320 and I had an issue which I'm not positive about. I was target shooting and during rapid fire I think a round discharged before being completely chambered. I contacted Sig and they have not responded. Sig needs to make this right by, buying back all the P320's or recalling and fixing all the 320's. I don't think all P320 owners would want their P320 replaced because they have not had any issues with the gun.

I think Sig should offer a buy back thereby restoring their reputation as a reputable company. Many P320 owners would not want to give up their P320, because they are problem free. The issue is not with all P320's.

This interview did not resolve the "P320" issue. There is too much logic that supports the fact that the P320 has a real problem. Why is Sig the only gun manufacturer that has this issue? There are videos that show the P320 is discharging without the trigger being pulled.. Shouldn't Sig have compared the defective P320's with P320's that did not have the discharge issue? Find out what is different about the P320's that have discharged without a trigger pull. Sig Sauer has improperly handled this issue from the very beginning. They should have recalled the P320's that had the discharge problem and compared them to P320's that did not have the discharge problem. Finding that issue and asking for a voluntary would have saved Sig's reputation.

STUPID!

In my life I have done many stupid things and I will no doubt do more stupid things before I die. Does this mean I'm a stupid person? I think not, I had a job selling that paid me only on commissions, no salary or expenses, I was able to sell enough product that eventually provided  a good income. I traveled the country and found many businesses without the aid of GPS. Prior to this I had many other jobs, I cut trees, ran heavy equipment, ran a gas station by myself, the list goes on. 

I don't think we should classify people by just one trait. Of course there are people with very low I Q"s and they may be stupid on many levels, however they can learn to take care of themselves and for the most part wouldn't be classified as totally stupid. I doubt that anyone is totally stupid. I don't care for the word "stupid". 

I would suggest reading about the Dunning & Kruger effect. This describes people that grade themselves with high intelligence when just the opposite is true. This may only cover certain aspects of a persons personality, and not relate to the totality of the human experience. I would also suggest reading or perhaps watching video's on " Bonhoeffer's Theory of Stupidity. He argues that it was the collective stupidity of the German people, that allowed Hitler to come to power. I think this is analogous to the current Trump situation in the United States. 

Do I think that the Trump supporters are all stupid? No I do not think that, rather I think they are acting in a stupid manor. Frankly I am concerned about alienating myself from people that I care about and yes even people that I don't know. I have fears when offering my own view points, yet I am compelled to try when I see people getting hurt and in this case, even killed.

This one fact in my mind is reason enough to remove Trump from office. He is actually having people killed and he has caused the deaths of people that relied on programs for sustenance thus survival. When it comes to Trump I ask frankly of the Trump supporters to "stop acting stupidly" Remember that under Trump you have lost your right to "Due Process", hopefully you will not need it.  To date no one has offered a logical reason to keep Tump in office. Trump with a straight face, states that prices are coming down when in fact prices are rising. This is a clear demonstration of a pathological liar. How can one justify supporting Trump?

 There are people I know,  people I love, people that are friends, people that are mild acquaintances, all people that support Trump. I do not hate or dislike the people that support Trump. I think that most Trump supporters have been mislead and believe things about Trump that are not true. 

Please read "Why I think Trump is unfit for humanity." to get an insight as to my feelings about Trump. I hate to think that what I am saying is causing people to be hurt, or upset. I am not trying to hurt anyone in fact the opposite is true, I am trying to improve the lives of all people. We all have had leaders that we do not agree with however the circumstances are much different with Trump his action are hurting and yes even killing innocent people. 

I served in the military so Trump thinks I am a loser and a sucker.  Trump avoided the draft during the Vietnam war. He claimed to have bone spurs. Anyone that can play golf and dance can easily serve in the military. 

We are all in this together yet under Trump we are divided. Please consider what I am saying. Please see that Trump is not trying to unite us. Lincoln said it "United we stand divided we fall." Trump is constantly sowing the seeds of division. I am trying to reach out to the Trump supporter, for if Trump has his way The US will never be great again.

WHY I THINK DONALD TRUMP IS UNFIT FOR HUMANITY. Please √ for updates 1/4/26

 On a personal note, I served in the US Military, Trump thinks I am a sucker. Further, concerning the military Trump said he didn't like soldiers, that were captured. Think of the US soldiers that were captured and beheaded by the Japanese. "Trump doesn't like them" How anyone could hear this and not have great disdain for Trump, is a mystery. And to top it off, Trump avoided the draft on a flimsy excuse, (bone spurs) yet found time for golf,  dancing and other activities. 

  Trump, if anything, is consistent. He is literally destroying our Country in the very same way he destroyed all of his Businesses. Trump filed for bankruptcy six times showing a loss of 1. 8 billion dollars. Here is a list of businesses that fell into bankruptcy or failure at the direction of Donal Trump. There is of course the six Casinos, Trump University, Trump Airlines, Trump Beverages, Trump the Game, Trump Magazine, Trump Mortgage, Trump Steaks,Trump Travel, Trump Comms ( a phone company perhaps), Trump Tower Tampa, Trump Vodka, Trump Cologne. He is only perceived a successful business man because he played one on TV.

Trump has started numerous other businesses while in office, which is a violation of the emoluments clause found in Article one Section 9 Claus 8 of the Constitution. Trump is wreaking havoc on many aspects of our government. He is attacking education, safety programs that keep us safe in areas such as food, clean air, soil and water. He is curtailing research in all matters of health, science and climate. Trump is actively engaging in the dumbing down of the US, while removing us from our role of world leadership.

He is causing people to die and if allowed to continue many more people will die on a global scale. Trump is taking away our rights of free speech, our right to protest, while imprisoning those people his thugs have detained or arrested. Trump has disobeyed the Posse Comitatus Act which prevents the US armed forces from being used against the citizenry. Trump has taken away our Constitutional right of "Due Process" Trump has pardoned all types of criminals some of them have pleaded guilty, some are drug dealers, child sex traffickers. Trump is either a pedophile or a protector of pedophiles or both. Trump is a convicted felon, he could not get a job at the Post Office. Trump is a rapist. You can search and find on line over twenty accusations of sexual misconduct against women. Think of it, Trump claims to be fighting drug traffic while at the same time pardoning one of the largest drug traffickers, former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez. Hernandez is convicted of smuggling over 400 tons of Cocaine into the US.

Trump is destroying our economy wreaking havoc on farming, and all types occupations and services. His attack on the immigrant population has left many key industries without a labor force, crops are rotting in the fields. Many of these people have lived in the United States for over fifteen to twenty years, they paid taxes. Surely we could have found a better solution to just abducting them and then incarcerating or deporting them. Trump has the audacity to say that he is bringing pricing down while prices are rising in every venue across the country. He is blatantly lying contradicting reality. This behavior is pathological.

Again, Trump reports that gas, food, pricing in general are all coming down, while the truth is that all pricing is on the rise. He just lies, as if people can't see what is really happening. Trump says that he knows more about everything than anyone else, he also states that he's been right about everything. He was supposed to end the Russia, Ukraine war on day one of his presidency. He has also claimed to have ended eight wars, which never occurred. Trump suggested injecting bleach into the bodies of people with Covid, Trump did not know what happened at Pearl Harbor. What is the mindset of a person that says it's okay to grab women by the (pussy)?

Trump while president mishandled the Covid Epidemic resulting in the deaths of over one hundred thousand people. Other countries had much better results for their people.

Despite all of Trumps short comings he has succeeded in becoming the President. This of course, only happened because a great many people were taken in by his lies. Why they remain his supporters after his abysmal performance and his totally narcissistic and deranged mannerisms is beyond mystery.

There is much more to Trumps idiosyncrasies and short comings. In truth the man belongs in a prison for the criminally insane. I can only hope that the Country wakes up before it's too late.

The US is number one for incarcerated citizens . The US is number one in adults that believe in Angels. 

The US spends more on defense than the next 26 countries combined. 

The Country is quickly losing its quality of life perhaps we are on the verge of total collapse. Trump and his administration know nothing of governing. Even with the cost of most things rising Trump lies saying prices are on the decline. This demonstrates his inability to see reality. Trump is a bumbling, nitwit, and a pathological liar.

To understand this horror and still think there is a loving god, is why the horror took place to begin with. We have created divisions where none truly exist. There are no Germans or Jews no nationalities they are all inventions of the human mind.

 It  is abnormal that there are still people supporting Trump. Trump has taken away everyone's right of Due Process. If you need to have the experience to understand what you lost then it is too late for you to do anything about it. How pathetic!

DOES the HUMAN MIND have a DEFAULT SETTING?

Perhaps, becoming is the default setting, of the human mind, for we are always trying to become something, other than what we are? However this requires awareness. Awareness is something we automatically are, without effort. Therefore I think we can conclude that awareness is our default setting. Our automatic thought process blocks the process of simply being aware. 

There's a slight twist, in that we must be aware of our awareness.  Just suppose if you will, that we were not constantly being swept along by our thinking. What might our awareness reveal, "if anything"? To understand this, it is said that one must meditate. However meditation is "becoming" simple awareness seems to be a key.  Awareness being the natural state  of the mind requires no effort, therefore one could say that the churning thought process is not natural. 

Let us stay aware of this and see if anything happens. Please report back to me if you uncover anything.

What is perceiving this non reality? what is creating the illusion? Can the intellect answer these questions? What is the base of the human experience? The mind without effort is aware. Thinking obscures our awareness, what would our conscious lives look like if thought wasn't always running unchecked? It is said that being aware brings silence an abatement of thought. In this silence there is tentatively something else operating. perhaps it is the understanding we seek. I am not claiming to know anything this is just my opinion. I think the truth is very simple.

It is an interesting question to ponder, "what if any, is the default setting of the human mind?" "Becoming" is that it? Everyone seems to be in a state of trying to achieve something, to become better, at what they perceive themselves to be. Yet to become requires awareness, hence awareness may be the default setting of the human mind/brain. We must be aware that we are aware!

 Why do thoughts arise on their own volition? This happens when we are consciously trying to navigate the things in our life. Awareness is just there in stillness, when we are not becoming. Doesn't this lead one to consider, is this awareness "deeper" when our thoughts are in abeyance? Our thought process is vital to our survival yet much of our thinking arises from our programed unconscious mind. If we are aware of this involuntary process then our unsolicited thoughts will gradually subside. Now consider this, awareness minus our compulsive thinking. This will be something entirely new, (just what) we must find out for our selves. It seems possible that this could lead us to what is natural, our true nature. Also consider with thoughts arising, without choice, is like being nearly unconscious. Surely this is a state that is unnatural, meaning that there possibly must be a natural state i e,  awareness.  It seems we are unaware of how much we are trapped inside of our own programed thinking. We are living in a kind of darkness, which helps explain the current state of world affairs.

In a state of awareness one is not trying to become something, the default setting of awareness is already there, this eliminates the need for us to do anything (becoming) except to be aware that we are aware. We can call this meditation as long as we are not trying to become, what we already are.  

This is DT on the road, to the absence of conflict and true natural freedom.

TRUMP! THE DECLINE!

 Trump is a demented fool and he has no idea of what he is doing. (Trump didn't know what happened at Pearl Harbor). Trump is dismantling our government and yes some of it really needed to be curtailed. However the damage he is doing will have far reaching consequences. He is putting an end to scientific research, including for cancer and other diseases. There is not one aspect of our way of life that Trump hasn't affected in a negative fashion.   Nader says it best!

He is closing down the EPA’s celebrated scientific research section, firing people everywhere, and declaring that the EPA has no authority to deal with the oil, gas, and coal fossil fuel emissions causing global warming. Crazily, he has blocked lower-priced solar energy and wind power projects, calling windmills “ugly.” This is just deranged.

FEMA employees have signed a desperate petition to Trump to stop strip-mining the agency, stop slowing its emergency response time, and restore the staff pushed out during the DOGE lawlessness. For their courage, Trump fired or suspended many of these hurricane, flood, and wildfire rescuers, as he does for civil servants who sign other letters and petitions because  they report they are unable to perform their work because of his actions. He has weakened an already weak OSHA and further jeopardized the health and safety of Americans in their workplace.

Trump has reduced successful programs such as Meals on Wheels America, Head Start, and aims to get rid of the Job Corps and AmeriCorps. Again, illegally defying Congressional mandates.

Trump, who eats well, is cutting food stamps for millions of poor Americans. This is hurting desperate families and supplying farmers.

Earlier, Trump got through Congress a law that will cause over 10 million people to lose their Medicaid; nearly five million could lose health care coverage soon when the elimination of subsidies causes prices to skyrocket under Obamacare scheduled by the end of this year. These serious deprivations, sure to cost lives, are what the Congressional Democrats are insisting be reversed before they go along with the omnibus government funding bill. GOP leaders, Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, are resisting. Of course, they have good health insurance paid for by taxpayers.

Trump has shut down diplomacy abroad, replacing it with threats, violence, fantasies, and boastful rhetoric. The skills of the Foreign Service in the State Department are frozen under the arrogant Secretary of State, Netanyahu toady, Marco Rubio.

THOUGHT! and AWARENESS!

 Thought has made up most of my living.  If there is such a thing as reality, thought is outside of it. This means that thought cannot know reality. Reality therefore is a direct experience between the mind and what is actual, "reality". Meditation then would be the vehicle to have the experience of reality. This is a bit misleading in that there isn't a self to have the experience. Note that the self arises in thought.

Awareness is another word for meditation. Awareness is being aware that you are aware, again there is no self that is being aware, there is only awareness. This is why thought has made up most of my life, I was not aware of reality.  In not perceiving the actual reality I invented reality, thought created the self and this is a wrong turn. The entirety of mankind has made a wrong turn, this is why we struggle without results. Reality has no need of a "self" and it is this 'self" that is the source of all our problems. The self does not want this to be true, it is a powerful illusion.
